warsztaty laparoskopowe ED

Agnieszka Sawina

The laparoscopy workshops are practical classes aimed at medical students, designed to develop skills in laparoscopic techniques using laparoscopic trainers and simulators.

The sessions combine theoretical and practical parts – under the supervision of an instructor, students have the opportunity to independently practice basic laparoscopic techniques such as instrument handling, hand–eye coordination, and performing simple procedures in a simulated environment.

The workshops was conducted by Dr. Karolina Majewska, MD. She currently works as a teaching assistant and resident physician at the Department and Clinic of Gastrointestinal Surgery of the University Clinical Center in Katowice – a center specializing in the treatment of cancers of the pancreas, bile ducts, stomach, and intestines. She has been actively involved in scientific work for years, is the author of numerous conference presentations and publications, and has also completed postgraduate studies in biostatistics. In her teaching work, she focuses on practical medical education, conducting numerous workshops in the field of surgery.
